Free to list during our launch. No card required. Any future paid service will be optional and agreed beforehand.
Your space could be just what someone needs
A small workshop for a local tradesperson. Dry storage for a growing online business. An office with room to breathe. FarmUnits helps you describe the space on your farm, give it a page of its own and connect directly with the people looking for it.

What can I list?
Storage units, workshops, offices, barns and other farm buildings, and yards, on farms and rural business sites anywhere in the UK. List one space or several units at the same farm. Describe the current condition, and the activities you are willing and able to accommodate.
Why list on FarmUnits?
- Free during launch, with no card required.
- A page for each unit, with photographs, size, rent, facilities and suitable uses.
- Reach people already searching for rural space, including those who have saved alerts for your area.
- Direct enquiries. You speak to prospective tenants yourself, with no agent fees and no commission on the rent.
- Your postcode stays private. Public pages show only the town and county.
- Simple management. Save drafts, duplicate similar units, pause listings and mark units as let.
What do I need to get started?
Have these ready, or save a draft and add them later:
- your farm's location;
- six to ten clear photographs of the space;
- the approximate floor area, and door and eaves heights;
- the rent, how often it is paid, whether VAT applies, and other costs;
- facilities: power, water, toilets, parking, access and security;
- the uses you will consider, and any restrictions.
Our listing checklist goes through each item, and how to set an asking rent helps you price it.
How do enquiries work?
People browse your public listing and send an enquiry through FarmUnits. You get an email and reply in your dashboard. Discuss suitability, arrange a viewing, and agree rental terms directly with the prospective tenant.
Can I share my listing elsewhere?
Yes. Once approved, your listing has its own link. Share it on Facebook, WhatsApp, by email or on a sign at your gate. Update the details in one place, and mark the unit as let when it's taken.
What does free mean?
Listing is free during our launch, and there are no payment details to enter. Any future paid service will be optional, and we'll agree it with you beforehand. FarmUnits doesn't collect rent or take commission on rental agreements. See launch pricing.
What happens after I submit?
We check listings before they appear publicly. If something needs clarifying, you'll see a request in your dashboard. Approval is a review of the advert, not a property inspection or a guarantee of suitability.
Before you let
Check that you're free to let the building and that the planning position allows the use, and think about business rates, safety and the lease. Our guides on renting out an unused farm building and preparing a building for a tenant explain what's involved.
